"Vote for Pedro" is the iconic campaign slogan from the 2004 cult film, Napoleon Dynamite. In it, the protagonist Napoleon Dynamite wears a t-shirt with this phrase to help his shy friend, Pedro Sánchez, run for school president. The phrase became a pop culture icon and was immortalized by the famous scene in which Napoleon performs a surprising dance routine on stage to the sound of Jamiroquai's "Canned Heat" to win the audience's vote. Interestingly, Pedro's campaign promise — "Vote for me and your wildest dreams will come true" — ends up being fulfilled in a literal and comical way for almost all the characters at the end of the film.Today, the slogan continues to be widely remembered on t-shirts, memes, and nostalgic references.
